Event Guide
TIME, LOCATION AND DISTANCES
• Astri Keskus Narva Autumn Run takes place on 19 September 2026 in Narva.
• NEW! The event centre and start/finish area are located at Astri Centre (Tallinna mnt 41). Race materials will be distributed from the 3rd-floor atrium of Astri Centre.
• Electronically timed distances are 2.5 km, Stebby 5 km and Neptunas 10 km: running/walking/Nordic walking. Starts from 13:00 (start and finish under the Viking Line arch).
• Ville Viking Kids’ Run distances are approximately 200–300 m. Starts at 12:00.
• The GPS-measured city course is 2.5 km long and is completed one, two or four times depending on the selected distance. The Ville Viking Kids’ Runs take place next to Astri Centre (start and finish under the Viking Line arch).

REGISTRATION AND CHANGES TO REGISTRATION
• Online registration is available while places remain. Name and distance changes can be made until 15.09.2026 at reg.ööjooks.ee.
• Registration follows an “early bird” principle: a fixed number of entries is available for each distance, with a limited number of places at each price level. The earlier you register, the lower the participation fee.
• The fee for changing a registration is €10 + any difference in participation fees.
• Registration on the event day is more expensive (subject to availability). NB! A €1 payment service fee will be added. Participation fees include 24% VAT. The Virtual Run participation fee includes results administration and medal postage.
• Registration can also be paid for using STEBBY credit.
RACE MATERIAL DISTRIBUTION
• NEW! Race materials will be distributed on 19.09.2026 from 10:00 to 12:30 at the event centre in the 3rd-floor atrium of Astri Centre. Kids’ Run bib distribution closes 30 minutes before the first Kids’ Run start, at 11:30.
• Race materials are distributed based on your race number. Please check your race number (published one day before the event) on the organiser’s website in the list of registered participants: ööjooks.ee.
• NEW! Kids’ Run bibs will be distributed based on a QR code, which will be sent no later than one day before the event to the email address provided during registration.
• Participants must be able to prove their identity if requested (please bring your ID card).
• Race materials for another participant may be collected with a simple written authorisation or by presenting the other participant’s ID card or a copy of it (including a photo of the document on a phone).
• Access to the start area is based on the race bib. Participants are asked to be in the start corridor at least 10 minutes before their start group.
• IMPORTANT: The organiser will close race material distribution on 19.09.2026 at 12:30 (for the Kids’ Runs, 30 minutes before the first Kids’ Run start, at 11:30).
COURSE INFORMATION
• 2.5 km participants complete the 2.5 km loop once.
• Stebby 5 km participants complete the 2.5 km loop twice.
• Neptunas 10 km participants complete the 2.5 km loop four times.
• STARTS ARE GIVEN IN WAVES: 20 participants every eight seconds.
• The course is secured by volunteers and security staff. The route follows pedestrian/cycle paths or roads with low traffic intensity.
• The course is signposted, with kilometre markers located at every kilometre on the participant’s right-hand side.
• There is one refreshment station per loop, located near the event centre immediately after passing the start arch when heading onto the next lap. The refreshment station provides Neptunas drinking water, Cappy juice and Coca-Cola.
• During the event, families and spectators can use the warm indoor public areas, cafés and toilets at Astri Centre.
NB! To start a new lap, pass through the start arch again and keep left. To finish any distance, pass through the arch and keep right. Please follow and listen to the course marshals.
VILLE VIKING KIDS’ RUNS
• The start and finish of the Kids’ Runs are on Roheline Street next to Astri Centre (Viking Line arch). Starts begin at 12:00.
• Bibs for pre-registered participants are distributed by name from the yellow Kids’ Run tent in the 3rd-floor atrium of Astri Centre.
• Children from under one year of age up to 13 years old may participate. Children may complete the course hand-in-hand with their parents.
• Kids’ Run distances are 200–300 m and take place on an asphalt surface.
• Each Kids’ Run participant receives a race bib (sticker), an energy-boosting gift bag from our partners, the Narva Autumn Run experience and a Ville Viking medal.
• All registered children wearing a race bib may participate, regardless of their arrival time. The age-group schedule and starting order will be announced on site. The schedule is approximate, and the runs may finish earlier than planned, particularly in poor weather conditions.
• Race material distribution closes 30 minutes before the first start, at 11:30.
PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITY AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• Each participant is personally responsible for their health condition when entering the course.
• By entering the course, the participant confirms that they have sufficient physical ability to complete the distance and agrees to contact course volunteers or medical staff in the event of a health problem. Medical assistance is available in the start/finish area.
• KEEP RIGHT: If you wish to take it easy, please keep to the right-hand side of the course. This allows faster participants to pass safely and smoothly on the left.
• PETS: Participation with pets is prohibited.
• PLEASE NOTE: Choose a suitable pace that allows you to feel well both during the event and at the finish and helps prevent health problems.
PARTICIPANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR COUNTING THEIR OWN LAPS!
Each participant is solely responsible for keeping track of the number of laps completed. Depending on the selected distance, the 2.5 km course must be completed 1–4 times, after which the participant must leave the course by turning into the finish. Participants must know how many laps they have completed and choose the correct moment to turn towards the finish.
TO START A NEW LAP: pass through the Viking Line arch and keep left.
TO FINISH: after passing through the Viking Line arch, keep right.
PRIZES AND AWARDS
• ALL GIFT BAGS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED AFTER THE FINISH FROM THE 3RD-FLOOR ATRIUM OF ASTRI CENTRE.
• Ville Viking Kids’ Run participants receive a medal and a gift bag containing products from our partners.
• Finishers of the 2.5 km, Stebby 5 km and Neptunas 10 km receive a medal and a gift bag containing products from our partners.
• The top 3 women and top 3 men in the Neptunas 10 km will receive trophies and Sportland gift cards: 1st place – €150; 2nd place – €100; 3rd place – €70. There are no cash prizes.
• The top 3 women and top 3 men in the Stebby 5 km will receive Stebby gift cards for use in the Stebby platform: 1st place – €200; 2nd place – €100; 3rd place – €50. There are no cash prizes.
• The awards ceremony will take place in the start/finish area next to Astri Centre on 19.09.2026 at 14:10. Come and cheer on the winners and enjoy the atmosphere! In case of rain, the awards ceremony will take place in the 3rd-floor atrium of Astri Centre.
PARKING, BAG STORAGE, SHOWERS, CHANGING TENTS AND TOILETS
• Paid bag storage (€2) is available at the event centre in the 3rd-floor atrium of Astri Centre from 11:00 until the end of the event at 15:00. BRING A COIN! All bags and clothing left uncollected from bag storage after 15:10 on 19.09.26 will be disposed of by the organiser.
• The organiser is not responsible for valuables left in bag storage. Use of the bag storage service is at the participant’s own risk.
• FREE shower facilities are available upon presentation of your race bib at the MyFitness gym in Fama Centre (Fama põik 10), approximately 2 km from Astri Centre.
• Toilets are located inside Astri Centre. Changing tents are located outdoors near the start/finish area.
• Participants are encouraged to use designated public parking spaces in the city. Please do not park directly in front of Astri Centre, as leaving the area will be restricted during the event. The Astri Centre parking garage is available for use.

Organiser’s rights
• If a participant withdraws from the event for reasons related to the participant, regardless of the reason, the participation fee will not be refunded.
• If there is a risk to participants’ health and/or safety, the organiser has the right to hold the event virtually. By registering, the participant confirms their agreement with this condition and acknowledges the possibility that the event may be converted into a Virtual Run.
• The organiser has the right to make amendments to these regulations as necessary.
• The organiser has the right to prohibit persons who disturb other participants from remaining in the competition area or entering the start area.
• The organiser has the right to disqualify from the official results all participants who fail to comply with the event regulations and rules.
• The organiser has the right to use all photographs and video recordings made by the organiser during the event for marketing purposes.
• The organiser is not responsible for cancellation of the event due to force majeure, including virus outbreaks, pandemics and other circumstances beyond the organiser’s control. If the event is cancelled for reasons beyond the organiser’s control, participation fees will not be refunded.
• The organiser assumes no responsibility for the work or performance of the company providing the timing service.
• The organiser accepts only official written protests submitted to the secretariat (information desk) by 15:00 on 19.09.26. The protest fee is €20. The processing period is up to 7 calendar days. The fee will only be refunded if the protest is upheld/accepted.
What are wave starts?
Wave starts were introduced at the Südasuve Challenge – Võsu event in 2018 and received the Running Innovation Award at Estonia’s national running conference in 2019.
The purpose of wave starts is to reduce bottlenecks and congestion in the start corridor. In practice, this means that all participants can move at a pace that suits them right from the start. An elite athlete and a recreational runner or jogger can be on the start line at the same time without getting in each other’s way. Nevertheless, we ask participants planning to take it easy not to start in the first waves.
Timing starts when the participant crosses the timing mats at the start line. Wave starts also make it possible to hold the event in an urban environment without unnecessarily disturbing pedestrians and other people using the area. The resulting single-file flow of participants can easily pass parents walking with strollers or couples walking hand in hand.
