EVENT CENTRE, DISTANCES, STARTS
• Maardu City Run takes place on 30 August 2026 in the city of Maardu
• Start and finish are located on Haigla Street. The event centre is 100 m away at the Maardu Culture and Information Centre (Keemikute St 12b, Maardu) – open 11:00–16:00
• Distances: 2.5 km; Stebby 5 km; Neptunas 10 km; Ville Viking children’s races
• Ville Viking children’s races (ages 0–13; approx. 200-300 m): 13:00
• Neptunas 10 km start: 14:00
• 2.5 km and Stebby 5 km start: 14:05
• Virtual participation: 25 July – 26 August 2026 at eestimaraton.ee
REGISTRATION, ENTRY FEES
• Registration is open while places are available at eestimaraton.ee.
Stebby users can conveniently pay with Stebby credit
• Registration follows the principle of a limited number of entries per distance, with several price levels – the earlier you register, the cheaper the entry fee (“early bird” principle)
• Ville Viking children’s race: €3–6
• 2.5 km: €5–15
• Stebby 5 km & Neptunas 10 km: €8–19
• VIRTUAL children’s race: €9
• VIRTUAL 5/10 km: €21
• All entry fees include VAT; virtual runs also include result management and Smartpost parcel delivery
• A €1 service fee from the payment provider is added to the entry fee
RACE MATERIALS, START PROCEDURE, CHANGING, TOILETS, BAG STORAGE & WASHING
• Race materials are issued by bib number (published the day before the event at eestimaraton.ee). For Ville Viking children’s races, bibs are issued by name
• Distribution of race materials ends 20 minutes before the first start, at 13:40. Participants are asked to be in the start area at least 10 minutes before the first start
• The 2.5 km loop is measured using GPS and sports watches; no course certificate
• Neptunas 10 km (4 loops) has 3 refreshment points (2.5 km, 5 km, 7.5 km – located immediately after entering a new lap). Stebby 5 km has 1 refreshment point (2.5 km). All participants receive bottled water at the finish
• Paid bag storage (€2) is available at the race centre 11:30–16:10. BRING COINS! All items not collected by 16:10 on 30.08.26 will be disposed of by the organiser
• Participation is allowed running, walking, or Nordic walking – FINISH CLOSES AT 16:00
• Outdoor toilets are provided near the start and finish. Changing tents are located in the event centre area. No organised washing facilities
TIMING AND AWARDS
• Electronic timing is used for 2.5 km, Stebby 5 km, and Neptunas 10 km
• The timing chip is attached to the back of the bib number and does not need to be returned
• Bib numbers must be worn on the chest and visible at all times
• Covering the bib with a hand while finishing may result in no recorded time
• Timing service provided by Nelson Timing OÜ
• Final results will be confirmed and published on eestimaraton.ee within 7 days after the race. Intermediate results will be published as soon as possible on the website and the official Facebook page (QR code on the bib)
• All registered participants who finish within the time limit receive a medal
(including Ville Viking children’s races)
• The top 3 women and top 3 men in the 5 km and 10 km overall rankings are awarded trophies. No prize money. Award ceremony starts at 15:20
VILLE VIKING CHILDREN’S RACES
• Starts take place on Haigla Street, beginning at 13:00. Children start and finish under the SPORTLAND gate
• Bibs for pre-registered children are issued by name at the event centre
• Participation is allowed from under 1 year old up to 13 years (inclusive). Children may participate hand-in-hand with parents
• Distance: 200–300 m, run on asphalt
• Each child receives a bib number, sponsor gift bag, running inspiration, and a medal
• All registered children wearing a bib may participate regardless of exact age group start time (during the children’s race period)
• Exact age group schedule will be announced on site. Race materials are issued until 12:40
PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITY
• Participants are responsible for their own health condition
• By starting, the participant confirms sufficient physical fitness and agrees to seek help from volunteers or medical staff if needed (medical assistance is located in the start/finish area)
• Participants acknowledge that non-participants may be present on sidewalks and shared-use paths
BY REGISTERING, THE PARTICIPANT AGREES TO:
• The event guide and organiser’s rules
• Processing of personal data in accordance with laws and regulations
• Receiving pre-event informational emails (participant reminders, offers, notifications)

ORGANISER’S RIGHTS
• If the event cannot be safely held on-site, it will take place as a virtual run (all participants will be transferred; no refunds)
• The organiser may cancel the event due to health risks, weather conditions, or governmental restrictions (no refunds or compensation)
• The organiser may amend the event guide if necessary
• The organiser may deny access to the competition area to disruptive individuals
• The organiser may disqualify participants who violate the rules
• The organiser may use photos and videos taken at the event for marketing purposes
• The organiser is not liable for force majeure
• The organiser is not responsible for the timing service provider’s performance
• Protests are accepted only in written form at the race secretariat until 30.08.26 at 16:10. Protest fee: €20 (refunded only if the protest is upheld). Review period: up to 7 calendar days
