Rules and Regulations

EVENT TIME & LOCATION

• Lammasmäe Eesti Ööjooks – Rakvere will take place on June 7, 2025, in Rakvere, Estonia
• Start and finish are located on Kastani Street, next to Rakvere Sports Centre (Kastani 12)
• Race Centre (start materials, changing rooms, paid bag storage, showers, and expo area) is located inside the Rakvere Sports Centre
• Start times:
  • Neptunas 10 km at 21:00
  • Elke Half Marathon at 21:20
  • Stebby 5 km and Costume Run at 21:25
  • Neptunas Children's Races start at 19:00

DAILY SCHEDULE

• 19:00 – Neptunas Children's Races (on Kastani Street)
• 21:00 – Neptunas 10 km start
• 21:20 – Elke Half Marathon start (Estonian Championship participants in the front start block)
• 21:25 – Stebby 5 km and Costume Run start
• 23:10 – Awards Ceremony
• 00:20 – Finish closes

PLEASE NOTE

• Participation is only allowed with a bib number worn on the chest and a RED shirt (except for children’s races, costume run participants, and Estonian Championship half marathon runners). A red shirt can be purchased during registration or you may wear your own fully red shirt.
• Check shirt sizes carefully before ordering. Size exchanges will not be possible later.
• It is forbidden to finish in a way that blocks faster runners (e.g., holding hands or forming a human chain). Headphones are strongly discouraged due to safety reasons – those wearing them may miss instructions and cannot file a protest.
• If the Night Run is cancelled due to force majeure or participant withdrawal, participation fees are non-refundable. Pre-ordered shirts and promotional items must be collected on-site by June 7, 23:30 – no shipping afterward.
• A virtual participation option is available from May 1 to June 2, 2025. Medals will be delivered via Smartpost (Estonia only, included in the fee).

TIMING & RESULTS

• Electronic timing is provided for all timed races: Stebby 5 km, Neptunas 10 km, Costume Run, and Elke Half Marathon.
• Walking and Nordic walking are allowed on all distances (walkers start in the last wave of their distance). The cutoff time is 3 hours from the 10 km start (i.e., until 00:00). The half marathon cutoff is 2h 40min.
• Timing-related issues or protests can be submitted until June 8 at 00:00.
• Protests must be submitted in writing at the Race Centre info desk. Protest fee: €20 (refundable only if the protest is upheld).

REGISTRATION

• Open online until the event or until places are sold out: www.ööjooks.ee
• Early Bird pricing – the earlier you register, the cheaper the fee.
• Name changes, distance changes, and transfer to virtual format are allowed only until May 25, 2025. Change fee: €10 + any price difference.
• Payment via Stebby is possible. Special offers for Sports Society and Telia SK members.

PARTICIPATION FEES

• Shirt (red technical shirt): €10 extra
• Limited number of entries per price tier – register early to save!

VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION

• Virtual Stebby 5 km, Neptunas 10 km, Elke Half Marathon: €19
• Virtual Children’s Race: €9
• Shirt not included in the virtual fee.
• Virtual fee includes a medal, result registration, and domestic shipping.

START PACK COLLECTION

• Based on bib number (bring ID):
  • June 6: 16:00–20:00
  • June 7: 15:00–20:00
• Bib numbers published on: June 5, 2025
• Children's race packages issued by name at the yellow children’s race tent
• You can collect someone else's start pack with a simple authorization letter or a copy of their ID and bib number
• IMPORTANT: No start pack pickup after 20:00 on June 7

START & COURSE DETAILS

• Access to start corrals is by bib number – follow signage
• Be at the start area at least 10 minutes before your start
• Course info:
  • Stebby 5 km & Costume Run and Neptunas 10 km = 1 lap
  • Elke Half Marathon = 2 laps, plus an additional 1.1 km section at the start
• Courses are lit with street lighting
• The kilometer markers for the half marathon have a red background
• The kilometer markers for the Neptunas 10 km have a black background
• Aid stations:
  • 10 km: 2 stations (~3 km & 7.5 km)
  • 5 km: 1 station (Tammiku Street)
  • Half marathon: 4 stations + 1 extra water point before 2nd lap
  • All finishers receive Neptunas bottled water
• Keep the course clean – use bins for cups

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITY & AGE GROUPS

• Participants are responsible for their own health condition
• Make sure you are fit enough for your chosen distance
• Volunteers and medics are available – medical assistance is located at the race centre and on the course
• Keep to the right if moving slowly – faster runners pass on the left
• No pets allowed on course
• Choose a pace that feels good and is safe

• Optional technical red shirt available during registration. Pickup only until June 7, 23:30. No shipping.

SHOWERS, BAG STORAGE, CHANGING ROOMS, PARKING

• Paid bag storage (€2) open 19:00–00:20. Unclaimed items will be disposed of. Bring coins!
• No liability for valuables left in storage
• Toilets: inside the Sports Centre & in the parking area (portable toilets)
• Changing rooms for men and women inside the Sports Centre
• Showers available after the event for €2
• Parking: follow city regulations. Cars may not leave parking spaces if parked on the active race course – check the course map!

NEPTUNAS CHILDREN’S RACES

• Held on June 7, 2025, on Kastani Street near the Sports Centre
• Start under the red Sportland gate, from 19:00
• Registration online at ööjooks.ee until the event or until spots are full
• Bib pickup at the yellow children's tent by name
• Open to kids from under 1 year old up to 13 years
• Distance: ~200–300 meters on asphalt and park paths
• Participants receive: bib number, gift bag, medal, and the Ööjooks experience

• 19:00 – Girls 0–3 y.o.
• 19:10 – Boys 0–3 y.o.
• 19:20 – Girls 4–5 y.o.
• 19:25 – Boys 4–5 y.o.
• 19:30 – Girls & Boys 6–7 y.o.
• 19:35 – Girls & Boys 8–10 y.o.
• 19:40 – Girls & Boys 11–13 y.o.

All registered kids with bib numbers may participate. Races may finish earlier than listed.

TRAFFIC REGULATION

• Expect major traffic changes in Rakvere on June 7
• Full course closed to traffic from 20:30 to 23:59 on June 7 (Roads affected: Kastani-Karja-Kunderi-Tammiku-Pikk-Posti-Vene-Saue-Võidu-Karja-Kastani-Olevi-Mäe-Seene-Maasika-Kooli-Spordi)
• From June 6 at 18:00 to June 8 at 03:00, Kastani Street (between Silla and Adoffi) is closed in both directions. No parking allowed.
• The event is held with permission from Rakvere City Government
• Vehicles must not exit race route parking during the event

  • Not refund in case of force majeure (e.g., pandemic, war, natural disasters)
  • Not be liable for timing service provider errors
  • Accept only written official protests (fee: €20)
