Rules and Regulations

EVENT TIME, LOCATION, AND DISTANCES

 

  • KFC Südasuve Challenge – Pirita takes place on July 13, 2025, at Pirita, Tallinn.
  • Start Times:
    • Cappy Children’s Run (200-300 m): 11:00 AM
    • Panasonic 4 km & Neptunas 10 km: 12:00 PM
  • Virtual Participation: Available from June 12 to July 9, 2025.

 

COURSE AND SERVICES

 

  • NEW! The event center (race kit pick-up, changing facilities, and paid baggage storage) is located at Pirita Leisure Center (Merivälja 3), approximately 150 meters from the start/finish line.
  • Start and finish are at Pirita Beach, near the surf club.
  • The course runs along sidewalks, pedestrian paths, and a seaside promenade.
  • Modes of Participation: Running, brisk walking, walking, and Nordic walking are allowed.
  • Panasonic 4 km and Neptunas 10 km have electronic timing. The course will be open for 2 hours from the first start, closing at 2:00 PM.
  • Aid Stations:
    • 10 km: Two aid stations (at 2.5 km and 7.5 km) providing Neptunas water and Coca-Cola.
    • 4 km: Neptunas bottled water will be provided at the finish line.
  • The course is marked, and reflective-vested staff will assist at turns.
  • Caution: From 1.5 km to 3.5 km, the seaside path features uneven terrain (concrete blocks). Stay attentive.
  • Participants must share the course with other pedestrians and visitors. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure safe passage around non-participants.
  • The 10 km course has been measured using GPS systems. The 4 km course is approximately 4.2 km and lacks an official course certificate.

 

START PROCEDURE

 

  • Starts will occur in intervals or waves: 10 participants every 8 seconds.
  • Neptunas 10 km participants start first, followed by Panasonic 4 km participants.

 

REGISTRATION

 

  • Registration is available at eestimaraton.ee until July 12, 2025, or until spots are filled. Payments can also be made via Stebby.
  • Fee Structure: Early registration offers discounted prices. Spots are allocated with a fixed number for each distance and fee level.

 

Entry Fees:

  • Cappy Children’s Run: €3-6
  • Panasonic 4 km & Neptunas 10 km: €15-29
  • Virtual Runs:
    • Cappy Children’s Run: €9
    • 4 km & 10 km: €25
  • Note: A €1 service fee applies per participant. All fees include VAT. For virtual participation, the fee includes result processing and postage.

 

RACE KIT COLLECTION

 

  • NEW! Kits can be collected on July 13, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:50 AM at the event center: Pirita Leisure Center (Merivälja 3).
  • Kits include a bib number with an electronic timing chip and safety pins.
  • Bib numbers can be checked online at eestimaraton.ee (Participant List) the day before the event.
  • Please bring a valid ID for kit pick-up.
  • Children’s bibs will be issued by name.

 

EVENT CENTER SERVICES

  • Separate changing areas for men and women.
  • Information desk.
  • Paid baggage storage (€2; please bring coins).
  • Warm showers are available at the surf club (finish area) for an additional fee.

 

TIMING AND RESULTS

 

  • Timing provided by Nelson Timing OÜ.
  • Disputes can be filed at the event center information desk within 30 minutes of the event’s conclusion.
  • Final results will be confirmed within 7 days after the event.
  • Results can be found on eestimaraton.ee and the event’s Facebook page.

 

AWARDS AND MEMORABILIA

 

  • Cappy Children’s Run: Medal and a gift bag with energy-boosting items.
  • Panasonic 4 km & Neptunas 10 km: Medal and gift bag with energy-boosting items.
  • Special Prizes:
    • Viking Line bonus card for a trip to Finland.
    • E-diploma.
    • Top 3 men and women in Panasonic 4 km and Neptunas 10 km receive trophies and sponsor prizes.
    • Neptunas 10 km includes cash prizes for top finishers.
  • Award Ceremony: Takes place at 1:20 PM in the start/finish area.

 

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITY

 

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they are in suitable health to complete the race.
  • By registering, participants confirm they have the physical capacity to complete the course and will seek medical assistance if needed.
  • Registration and payment confirm agreement with the event rules, terms, and conditions, including the use of personal data in accordance with regulations.

ORGANIZER RIGHTS

 

  • If the event cannot be held in person due to safety or health concerns, it will be converted to a virtual run.
  • No refunds will be issued in case of event cancellation due to health risks, government restrictions, or severe weather.
  • The organizer reserves the right to amend the guidelines as needed.
  • Photos and videos taken during the event may be used for promotional purposes.
  • Disputes must be filed in writing by July 13, 2025, at 2:30 PM, accompanied by a €20 fee (refundable if the protest is upheld).

 

 

What are interval starts?
Interval starts reduce congestion at the starting line. Participants begin at intervals, allowing them to maintain their preferred pace immediately. This system has received awards for innovation and ensures smooth participation.
