Sportland Tallinn Open Water Virtual Swim

Event period: June 10 – July 9, 2025

Participants can choose from four distances:

• 500 m
• 1 km
• 1.9 km
• 3.8 km

Participation Rules:

• The swim must be completed in an open body of water (sea, lake, river, etc.).
• Aids that assist movement (such as fins) are not allowed.
• Wearing a wetsuit (including socks and a cap) is permitted.
• The organizer strongly recommends using a safety buoy attached to the body for safety.
• Any swimming style is allowed.
• There is no time limit, but the swim must be completed in one continuous session.

Flexibility of Location & Time:

• The virtual swim can be done anywhere and at any time within the event period.
• You do not have to swim in Tallinn.

Registration & Fee:

• Registration is available at reg.ööjooks.ee.
• Participation fee: €25 (includes VAT and medal shipping via Smartpost).

Submitting Results:

• Find your name in the registered participants' list (use the search function if necessary).
• Submit and confirm your result using the link next to your name (available from June 10, 2025).
• Results can be submitted until July 9, 2025, at 23:59.
• Late submissions will not be accepted, and participants who miss the deadline will not receive a medal.

Medal Delivery:

• Participants who successfully complete the swim and submit their results on time will receive a medal via Smartpost to an Estonian parcel locker of their choice.
• Important: Ensure that your contact details and parcel locker selection are correct when submitting your result.
• Shipping period: July 15–18, 2025.
• If you do not receive your medal within a reasonable time, contact info@eestimaraton.ee.

Additional Notes:

• Virtual swim participants will not receive the Tallinn Bay Crossing certificate or the finisher’s bag (which contains partner products, mainly beverages).
• An e-diploma can be downloaded from the results page.
• Virtual participants will not be included in the official ranking, prize draws, or other recognitions (e.g., championship rankings or course record acknowledgments).

Participant Responsibility:

• Participants are fully responsible for their safety, the choice of swimming location, and their physical fitness and swimming ability.
• The organizers are not responsible for participants’ choices during the virtual swim.

Medal Shipping Limits:

• Medals will only be shipped within Estonia.
• No exceptions will be made for late result submissions.
