VIRTUAL SWIMMING

• Open Water Estonia - Käsmu Virtual Swim takes place from June 1 to June 25, 2025.
• Participants can complete a 3.5 km swim as part of the virtual event.
• The swim must be conducted in an open body of water (sea, lake, river, etc.). Movement-enhancing aids (e.g., fins) are prohibited. Wetsuits (including socks and caps) are allowed, and participants are strongly encouraged to use a safety buoy attached to their body for added safety during the swim. The swimming style is free.
• No time limit applies, but the swim must be completed in a single, uninterrupted session.
• The swim can be completed at any time and location during the event period (it is not necessary to swim in Käsmu Bay).
• Registration is available through the ööjooks.ee platform, with payment options including Stebby. The participation fee is €25, which includes VAT and the medal shipping cost.
• To submit your result, locate your name in the list of registrants (use the search function if necessary) and add/confirm your result using the link next to your name (accessible starting June 1, 2025).
• Results must be submitted between June 1 and June 25, 2025, by 11:59 PM. Late submissions will not be accepted, and medals will not be issued (no exceptions).
• Participants who successfully complete the swim and submit their results on time will receive a medal delivered to a Smartpost parcel locker in Estonia, specified during the result submission. Please ensure accuracy when providing parcel locker and contact details. Shipping costs are included in the registration fee.
• Medals (and T-shirts, if ordered) will be shipped between July 1 and July 4, 2025. If you have not received your medal by July 8, 2025, please contact info@eestimaraton.ee.
• Virtual swim participants will not receive the Käsmu Bay Crossing Certificate or finisher’s bag containing partner products (mainly beverages) that are distributed at the physical event. However, participants can download an e-diploma from the results page.
• Virtual swim participants are not included in the official event rankings, prize draws, or other recognitions (e.g., championship standings or course record acknowledgments).
• Participants are fully responsible for their safety, choice of swimming location, physical fitness, and swimming ability. Event organizers are not responsible for participants’ decisions during the virtual swim.
• Participants may choose to purchase an Open Water Estonia 2025 T-shirt (cost: €20) during registration. The T-shirt will be shipped together with the medal in the same package. The shirt is made of quick-drying technical material and features a custom design for the event (it is not a FINISHER shirt). No exchanges for T-shirts will be allowed.
• Shipping is only available within Estonia.
