T-shirt Measurements

Since 2014, the runs of the Estonian Night Run in Rakvere have required participants to wear the official race shirt issued by the organizer, with a new design and color each year. This requirement was introduced to foster a sense of unity among participants at the start and along the route, enhancing the overall experience from start to finish as runners make their way through the city streets. The rule has applied to all distances (except for the Costume Run and children's races).

Participants who do not comply with this rule will be disqualified, their finishing time will not be recorded, and they will not receive a medal at the finish line.

2025 Special Anniversary Participation Option

To celebrate the 15th consecutive edition of the event and to make participation more accessible to both returning and new Night Run enthusiasts, a special option has been introduced for 2025—runners can participate in their own shirt, provided it is RED. By wearing their own red shirt, runners receive a €10 discount (the cost of the official race shirt). This option also supports environmentally conscious participants in reducing their ecological footprint. Please only choose a new shirt if you truly need and will actively use it.

Can I buy the official 2025 anniversary shirt later?

Yes! If you register with a discounted ticket (opting to wear your own red shirt) but later decide you’d like to purchase the 2025 anniversary shirt (for yourself or as a gift), you can do so at the Night Run race center in Rakvere (Rakvere Sports Center, Kastani 12) on June 6-7, 2025. Availability of all sizes is not guaranteed. The price will be €10.

What qualifies as a "red" shirt?

To assist participants, the organizers request respectful compliance when choosing their personal race shirt and recommend avoiding borderline color variations (shirts with mixed colors or questionable shades). There have been at least three different red official shirts from previous Night Runs, and you are welcome to wear one of those or any other red training shirt. When we say red, we mean Viking Line red, Sportland red, or Rimi rednot purple, not pink. RED.

Can the shirt have prints or different cuts?

Yes! You may wear:

  • Sleeveless running shirts
  • Long-sleeved shirts
  • Classic T-shirts

Additional prints are allowed, such as team or supporter logos (e.g., "Fazer Team," "Rakvere High School," "The Tammed Family" etc). However, all messages must comply with the law and respect the rights and dignity of all social groups.

Who is exempt from the requirement to wear a red shirt?

  • Participants in the Costume Run and children's races
  • Athletes competing in the half marathon as part of the Estonian Championships (EMV), submitted by the Estonian Athletic Association (EKJL)

SUMMARY

Participating in your own red shirt is a special one-time option for 2025, available only in Rakvere to celebrate the anniversary year.

If you prefer the convenience of receiving the official race shirt in your starter package, simply select it during registration (an additional €10 fee applies).
