Virtual Participation
- Würth Open Water Estonia – Käsmu virtual swim will take place from 29.06 to 29.07.23.
- In the virtual swim, you can take part in a 3.5 km course.
- Swimming must be carried out in an open body of water (sea, lake, river, etc.) and aids to facilitate forward movement (flippers, etc.) are prohibited. The use of a wetsuit (including socks, hat) is allowed and the organiser strongly recommends the use of a buoy tied to the body to complete the challenge, which will add to the safety of the distance. Swimming style is free. There is no time limit – the swim must be completed as a single, uninterrupted, race.
- It is possible to complete the virtual swim at a predefined time 24/7 in a place and on a course suitable for the participant (do not have to be in Võsu).
- You can register in the ööjooks.ee online registration system and the entry fee is €25 (includes 20% VAT and medal postage to the parcel machine).
- To enter a result, find your name in the list of registrants (if necessary, use the search at the top of the page) and add/confirm your result using the link behind your name (opens from 29.06.23).
- The result can be entered until 23.59 from 29.06 to 29.07.23. Late entries will not be considered as having completed the race and will not be awarded a medal.
- All participants who have completed the virtual swim and entered their result on time will receive a medal in the appropriate Smartpost parcel machine, which can be entered when adding the result. NB! We ask you to be attentive and correct when choosing a parcel machine. Postage is included in the entry fee.
- The mailing of the medals will take place from 31.07.23-6.08.23. If you have not received your medal by 10.08.23, please contact us at: info@eestimaraton.ee.
- Participants in the virtual swim will not be mailed the Käsmu Bay Crossing certificate, shirt and finisher's bag, which will be issued in the regular race and contain partner products, mostly drinks. The participant of the virtual swim can download the e-diploma from the results page.
- Participants in the virtual swim will not be included in the rankings, prize draws or other recognitions not specified in the rules (including championship records, track record recognitions, etc.).
- By taking part in the virtual swim, the participant takes full responsibility for their own safety, the choice of swimming area and their own physical fitness and swimming ability. The event organiser has no responsibility for the choices made by the participant in the virtual swim.
- Virtual swim parcels will only be posted within Estonia!
